ABOUT ME

I obtained my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology Taxila in 2016 and the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences in 2018, respectively. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD under the supervision of Dr. Hossein Rouhani at the Neuromuscular Control and Biomechanics Lab, University of Alberta.

PROJECTS:

Title: Theoretical and Experimental analysis of energy absorption in thin Circular Elastic Plate (Master thesis) (Master's Thesis)

In this research, both the free and forced vibrations of the thin elastic circular plate have been experimentally investigated for the case of a simply supported boundary condition. Additionally, the strain energy stored in the simply supported thin circular elastic plate has been calculated using the Finite Element Method through the application of low-velocity impact.

Title: Aero elastic Behavior of a streamlined Bridge Deck Section (Undergraduate final year project)

The project focuses on conducting numerical simulations to study the transient behavior of a symmetric streamlined bridge deck section with two degrees of freedom: plunge and pitch. The response of the bridge deck section under initial mechanical excitation and excitation caused by an upstream gust was investigated using ANSYS Fluent. The findings revealed that the transient growth of energy significantly impacts flexible structures. The combination of wind turbulence excitation and the aeroelastic effect gives rise to important phenomena, including flutter.
