About me

I’m now an M.Sc student of Mechanical Engineering in the University of Alberta.

Currently I’m working on the exoskeleton applied to help the workers reduce the risk of getting hurt during physical tasks. The EMG sensor, motion capture system and IMU system are the main part of hardware platform.

Supervisor

Dr. Hossein Rouhani

Research Interests

  • Exoskeleton technology

  • Ergnomic risk assessment

  • Body frame reconstruction

  • Motion capture system

Projects

Currently, I’m concentrating on the analysis of exoskeleton and different tools on the reduction of workers’ muscles fatigue during manhole cover removal task, this project includes

1. Evaluating the efficiencies of two kind of tools (Jake tool and Lever tool).

2. Evaluating the efficiency of the exoskeleton (BackX/SuitX).

3. Interpreting the joint angle collected by IMUs into REBA score and evaluate the task’s posture and the effect of exoskeleton.

I’m also working on a new method for lower back MVC measurement and now already finished the data collection.
